Delhi Agra Family Tour Package from Mumbai: Planning a Trip Everyone Will Love

Planning a family holiday is a bit like planning a wedding menu. Everyone has an opinion. The kids want something exciting, the grandparents want comfort, your partner wants great food, and you just want everyone to come home happy and still on speaking terms.

A Delhi Agra family tour from Mumbai is one of those rare trips that ticks every box. There’s history for the elders, adventure for the children and enough food and shopping to keep everyone else smiling. Here’s how to plan one without the stress.

Why Delhi and Agra Work So Well for Families

These cities are a living textbook. Children who have read about the Mughals in school get to walk through the very forts and tombs from their history chapters. Grandparents often find the trip deeply emotional, because many have dreamt of seeing the Taj Mahal for decades. And since the distances are short, nobody spends entire days stuck in a vehicle.

Our Golden Triangle package takes it a step further by adding Jaipur, giving the trip a colourful, royal finale that children especially love.

A Pace That Suits Every Age

The 5-night, 6-day itinerary is designed so that no day feels rushed:

  • Day 1 – Arrive in Delhi: A relaxed arrival with pick-up and hotel check-in, ideal after an early flight or overnight train from Mumbai.
  • Day 2 – Delhi: Qutub Minar, the peaceful Lotus Temple and Humayun’s Tomb, plus a drive past India Gate. The Chandni Chowk rickshaw ride (paid directly) is usually the kids’ favourite part.
  • Day 3 – Agra: Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal. Keep in mind that the Taj is closed on Fridays.
  • Day 4 – Fatehpur Sikri & Jaipur: A historic stop en route, then evening shopping in Jaipur’s bazaars.
  • Day 5 – Jaipur: Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal.
  • Day 6 – Departure: Breakfast, then a drop at the airport or station.

With two nights each in Delhi and Jaipur, families get breathing room: time for an afternoon nap, a dip in the hotel pool or a slow evening stroll.

What Makes It Easy on Families

A private vehicle, all the way. No juggling autos with luggage and tired children. One dedicated vehicle handles every transfer and sightseeing drive, so the whole family moves together at its own pace.

Breakfast is sorted. A hearty hotel breakfast every morning means one less decision before a busy day.

Your choice of comfort. Hotels come in Standard, Deluxe and Premium categories. Families travelling with senior members often prefer Deluxe or Premium for extra space and amenities.

Someone waiting on arrival. Whether you fly or take the train from Mumbai, you’re picked up at the airport or station.

Little Things That Make a Big Difference

  • For kids: Turn sightseeing into a game. Ask them to guess what the giant instruments at Jantar Mantar measure, or challenge them to count Hawa Mahal’s windows. They’ll remember it far longer than a lecture.
  • For grandparents: Amber Fort and Agra Fort involve slopes and steps. Schedule them for the morning, carry water and take breaks whenever needed.
  • For foodies: The optional Chokhi Dhani evening in Jaipur (paid directly) is a family favourite, with folk performances, village-style fun and a traditional Rajasthani thali.
  • For winter trips: Travelling between December and February? Pack warm layers for everyone. Mumbai kids aren’t used to North Indian cold.
  • For paperwork: Carry original ID for all adults, since hotels ask for it at check-in.

Budgeting for the Trip

The Standard package is priced at ₹28,490 per person and covers hotels, daily breakfast, private transport and transfers. Budget separately for flights or train tickets, monument entry fees, lunches and dinners, shopping and GST. Rates tend to rise around festive holidays, so families travelling during Diwali or Christmas vacations should book well ahead.
